Add an annual cost to calculate net benefit and ROI.
Additional annual revenue = current annual citation revenue × assumed increase. Projected revenue = current revenue + additional revenue.
Annual net benefit = additional revenue − annual cost. ROI = annual net benefit ÷ annual cost × 100. ROI is undefined when annual cost is zero.
The uplift is your scenario assumption, not a measured CurbShift performance claim. Fixed and mobile setups keep separate assumptions. This model does not assume that greater camera coverage always means more citations or revenue.

Add an hourly staff cost to value released capacity. Add solution cost to calculate ROI.
Current annual hours = annual appeals × average minutes per appeal ÷ 60. Alternatively, enter the combined annual appeals hours for your officers directly.
Hours released = current annual hours × 60% or 80%. Hours remaining = current annual hours × 40% or 20%. The two estimates are alternative scenarios.
Annual capacity value = hours released × fully loaded hourly staff cost. Net capacity value subtracts annual solution cost. Capacity-based ROI = net capacity value ÷ annual solution cost × 100.
The 60% and 80% reductions are modelling assumptions. Released capacity can support other work; it becomes cash savings only if actual staffing or other spending falls.

Assumes unchanged parking activity, prices, average payment, and revenue mix. Revenue scales in proportion to the compliance rate.
Each row shows an alternative annual scenario.
| Compliance | Increase | Projected revenue | Additional revenue | Revenue increase |
|---|
Projected annual payment revenue = current annual payment revenue × target compliance ÷ current compliance. Additional revenue = projected revenue − current revenue.
A change from 70% to 75% is an increase of 5 percentage points. Under this model, revenue increases by 75 ÷ 70 − 1, or approximately 7.1%.
The projection assumes that currently unpaid parking activity has the same average payment value as paid activity, with unchanged rates, occupancy, duration, and payment mix. It is a proportional scenario, not a revenue guarantee.
A current compliance rate of 0% cannot support this calculation. Rates at or above 95% have no additional steps within this calculator’s target. Payment gains are not added to citation gains because improved compliance may reduce citations.
